Our lacquer artisans from the Echizen lacquerware region, where our workshop is located, carefully apply the lacquer by hand to each piece.
The unique gloss and deep color tones of urushi have a richness and elegance
that cannot be achieved with any other kind of paint.
Though it is a tool for everyday use,
it is a Japanese modern piece that transcends its existence to evoke something within the user.
There is also a lacquer-only type without any paintings.

You can choose between black or vermilion lacquer finishes. | We ship it together with an original drawstring pouch. This pouch is made from microfiber cloth called "Microstar," typically used for cleaning glasses, which helps prevent scratches on the lacquer surface and easily cleans off dirt. (Photo shows the lacquer-only type) | The cap does not have a latch; it is held in place by simply fitting the wooden cap onto the USB connector.
