Description
A hugely popular “explosive bite” jig in Omaezaki and Izu: **Slow Skip**
Especially recommended for **greater amberjack (kanpachi)** and **bottom fish**!
(You can even catch species that are usually dominated by bait fishing!) *Be careful of bites on the fall (^_^;)*
Developed for **slow-pitch jerking**, effective whether fish are highly active or not, **“Slow Skip”** differs from conventional slow-pitch metal jigs in its **sliding characteristics**. Despite its wide, short profile, it has an unbelievable “cast/slide,” producing a **long-jig-like lateral movement**. Combined with an **irregular fall action**, it gradually triggers and increases a predator’s feeding response.
There are the **“V-Bottom,”** which emphasizes stop action, and **“ConveX,”** which emphasizes slide action; the **“Flat Bottom”** has also been added. It’s recommended to choose between them based on the current/tide conditions.
**● Slow Skip VB/CX**
**** Quick dart / Slow fall
An asymmetrical jig for slow-style fishing. It supports slow jerks from **1/1 to 1/8 of a reel turn**, and with a small stroke you can easily make the jig hold a **horizontal posture**. It also prevents a **straight vertical drop after the jerk**, reducing the fish’s wariness. It has a strong “drawing-in” effect and induces bites on the **suspending/floating fall**.
**Ideal rod:** a **slow-action rod**
When you want to strongly create a “jump/slide,” clearly perform the up-and-down motion: lightly jerk the rod up and **immediately return it**.
**• VB (V-Bottom)**
A model that excels where the current is relatively gentle and there’s little “double current” (layered currents), designed to produce a strong **fluttery, floating feel**.
