Description
**The overwhelmingly popular “SLOW SKIP” jig in Omaezaki and Izu—an explosive catching metal jig!** Highly recommended especially for amberjack (kampachi) and bottom fish! (It even catches species where bait fishing usually has the advantage!) *Be careful of bites during the fall (^_^;)* “Slow Skip,” developed for slow-pitch jerk fishing that remains effective whether fish are highly active or not, differs from conventional slow-pitch metal jigs in its sliding characteristics. Despite its wide, short profile, it “slides” far more than you’d imagine, creating long-jig-like horizontal movement. Combined with an irregular fall action, it gradually ramps up a predator’s feeding response. The lineup includes the “V-Bottom,” which emphasizes stop action, the “ConveX,” which emphasizes sliding action, and now also a “Flat Bottom.” We recommend choosing based on the current and tidal conditions. ### ● Slow Skip FB **《Action》 Quick dart & fall** A slow-style asymmetrical jig. It supports slow jerks with reeling from **1/1 to 1/4 of a turn**, and makes it easy to present a horizontal posture with a small stroke. It also prevents a straight vertical drop after jerking, removing the sense of wariness it can give fish. Compared with the “bite-triggering” action of the VB and CX, its fall action produces a stronger “calling/attracting” action. Among the Slow Skip series, it has the **fastest fall speed**, so it’s fine even in **fast current** or **two-layer currents**. Its movement during jerking is closer to a **high-pitch** style. On the fall, it repeatedly performs **spiral / slalom stops**, and is effective on relatively strong-swimming targets (pelagics, sea bream, bottom fish—especially large ones). *Note: the FB shape is slightly longer than the CX and VB.* **Ideal rod:** a slow-pitch-action rod. When you want to create a strong “slide,” clearly perform an up-and-down motion: after lifting the rod with a (light) jerk, **return it immediately**.
