Developed for slow-pitch jerking that works whether fish are highly active or not, “Slow Skip” differs from conventional metal jigs considered for slow-pitch use in its slide characteristics. The “distance” it achieves—unimaginable from its wide, short form—creates a long-jig-like horizontal movement. Combined with an irregular fall action, it gradually increases the activity level of fish-eaters.

There’s the “V-Bottom,” which emphasizes stop action, and the “ConveX,” which emphasizes slide action—plus a “flat bottom” has been added as well. We recommend switching between them to match the tide/current characteristics.

An asymmetric jig in a slow style. It supports slow jerks from 1/1 to 1/8 turns of the reel handle, making it easy to create a horizontal posture with minimal rod stroke. It also prevents a straight vertical drop after the jerk, reducing the fish’s wariness. It provides an attracting effect and triggers bites on a drifting fall.

Ideal rod ⇒ A slow-action rod
When you want to strongly make it “slide,” clearly perform the up-and-down motion: lightly lift (jerk) the rod and then return it immediately.
