This is a newspaper bag made from 10-ounce canvas. The standard is 10/2 x 10/2. Converted to denim weight, it is about 12 to 12.5 oz. Since this fabric is commonly used for truck tarps and spankers, it has excellent durability. Two threads are twisted together (plied), then woven in a plain weave with one thread alternating vertically and horizontally. Because the threads intersect frequently, the fabric has water resistance that prevents leakage and seepage, making it a practical material. In vintage items, canvas in fluorescent colors is often used, possibly for better visibility. Also, it is characterized by large printed messages. Referencing this, TCB uniquely printed "NO SHAMPOO CLUB" with a dye infusion. The fabric was specially ordered for this purpose, resulting in a TCB bag with thoroughly crafted attention to detail. |
